Bantam B Team Brings Home More Hardware! 1/25/2010 11:06 PM  The Bantam B team brought home the 2nd place trophy from the Woodbury Area Hockey Club Bantam B Rumble Tournament held January 21-24, 2010. Highland faced the Woodbury Blue Bantam B's (a team they tied in a recent Albert Lea tourney) in their first game. Highland came out of the locker room will full force and didn't let up the whole evening --- winning the game. Saturday the Capitals faced Edina (who was coming off a 9-0 win over Centennial the night before). Highland led for most of the game and Edina fought back hard and tied it with 11 seconds left in the 3rd period. The game was still tied after 5 minutes of OT so the game went to a shoot out. After a 5 player shoot out the game was still tied. Then it went to sudden death shoot out and within seconds of the 1st Highland skater taking the puck and heading for the net - - - it was "top shelf," "he scores" and a huge WIN for Highland over Edina! Wow...what an exciting game! Sunday, the boys lost a tough championship game to the Woodbury White team and came home with the 2nd place trophy! Great job guys, great sportsmanship players and parents, and a great weekend of hockey! Go Highland! |
